About us

What is Griffish Isles, exactly?

A great and powerful question, to be sure!

The simple answer is that Griffish Isles is a convention where like-minded fans of the show "My Little Pony" can meet and forget about real life for a weekend. In reality, it's more complex than that because different groups of people have different reasons for being there: you might make pony-related goods and wish to sell them, you may have a passion for cosplay and wish to show it off, you may want to give back to the community by helping out.

But you don't have to be an uber-fan to enjoy the weekend - if you just want to spend some quality time with the kids we have games and workshops.

Here's what we offer in a nutshell:

Games: The Collectible Card Game, as well as MLP-licenced games and fan games!
Karaoke: We run My Little Karaoke all day, with a curated PG list for little ones
Workshops: Learning how to make things and be creative!
Talks: We've had everything from music production to trains to... service stations.
Pub Quiz: Not actually in a pub, but always a challenge!
Cosplay: You could win one of our contest trophies!
Live music: We've had sets from PrinceWhateverer, Lavender Harmony, Re:Make, Coltastrophe and more!
Vendors: Pony merchandise? At this time of year? At this time of day? Localized entirely within our venue? Yes. And you can see it.

What the hay is a 'Griffish Isle'?

Don’t worry - you’re not the only one!

Just open up your map of Equestria, navigate North of the Celestial Sea and East from Manehattan, and there we are!

Our Mascot

You've probably seen a red Griffon around these parts... well that is our mascot Bobbie! She was created by our founder Hypnohooves (see Organisers Page) and has been drawn in many different styles from various artists over the years. See the Styles of Bobbie below:
